Rescan Time Almost Here

As reported here several months ago, more TV spectrum has been sold and stations all over the country will have to move to other frequencies, "on the dial," as they use to say. Most TV channels will be moving on Friday 10/18/2019, but apparently not of them will.

I don't see any problem with channel 2 not moving on the 18th since their current location in the TV spectrum (real channel 50) won't effect any other channels, but what could be a problem is low power WLWD channel 20. WLWD broadcast religious programming and they are suppose to move to a new frequency at some point in time. The problem with this is WLWT channel 5 in Cincinnati will be moving to real channel 20 on the 18, so if WLWD  still occupies real channel 20 after the 18th, a lot of folks around Dayton/Kettering area won't be able to pick up WLWT since WLWD's signal will block it. The again, WLWT normally has a pretty darn strong signal around here so maybe it'll be WLWD that gets their signal knocked of the air.
