Apparently it's a problem with many TV stations across the nation. From what I've read today some TV channels are using temporary low powered equipment until the full powered versions are installed. WKEF 22 and WRGT 45 are two such channels in the Dayton market that folks are having trouble with but give them time and I'm sure everything will be back up and running very soon.
I'm getting WRGT 45 just fine . NO signal for WKEF 22 . i live about 55 air miles away from transmitter.
ReplyDeleteOTA signals can be quite strange. I lost FOX and ABC after the rescan and I”m probably about 10 miles from the Dayton tower grouping. Stranger still, I am now able to pick up the Cincinnati FOX 19 channels without any problem and that transmitter is probably 40 - 50 miles away. Certain frequencies just don’t work well at certain distances and locations. If Dayton FOX / ABC come back, fine. If not, I’ll just watch the Cincinnati channels.
ReplyDeleteI'm missing the channels 45wrgt and 45.1
ReplyDeleteI live about 50 miles directly N of Dayton. WRGT 45 one of my stronger stations before the repack, but has since gone missing as of Oct. 18th 2019. I did pick up WCPO (channel 9) out of Cincinnati which is about 100 miles. All other Dayton channel come in strong.
ReplyDeleteI'm missing all 24 channels I got before rescan, now I have zero channels.
ReplyDeleteI lost FOX (Channel 45) and ABC (Channel 22) after the rescan. Channel 22 has restored a couple of times, but the signal isn't strong. I was able to pick up Cincinnati stations with no problem. I live 25 miles west of Dayton, 50 miles north of Cincy.
ReplyDeleteI live in the Enon area and I lost everything but CBS, NBC, and the CW. I no longer get any ABC, FOX, PBS, or the numerous other channels I used to receive.
ReplyDeleteI had the same problem. Got a new antenna from Amazon 30$ pickled up 41 channels mostly Cincinnati?
DeleteI assume you mean PBS channel 16. It comes in great here but we're really close to the Dayton TV towers. On the other hand PBS 14 out of Oxford was out here for a couple of days and that started a day or two after the stations switched frequencies on Friday. They're back as of today so hopefully 16, 22, & 45 will follow soon.
ReplyDeleteAny business that advertises on Fox (45) and ABC (22) needs to demand a refund. I live in Springfield and I cannot receive either channel after rescanning 3 times. PBS (16) out of Columbus is clear as a bell.
ReplyDeleteFrom the Beavercreek area: I no longer receive Channel 14/subchannels or Channel 64/subs. However, after being out for over a month, Channel 5/subs is now back, as is Channel 9/subs, on a second re-scan.
ReplyDeleteExcept for 9, we've had the same problems with reception. Like 22 and 45, 64 is running at lower power. Haven't heard anything about 14 but the fact that it's not coming in most of the time would seem to mean they're not at full power too.
DeleteI can't get channels 22or45😏
ReplyDeleteIn Logan County - southern edge. Can pick up 2, 7, 16, 26 and 43. Used to pick up 22 & 45. Not anymore. Have re-scanned daily - is as if the stations no longer exist. Have checked their website - no update posted; no time table for the jump to full power
ReplyDeleteStill unable to get 22 ot 45 since the rescan. I live 20 miles north of Dayton. Love missing all the college football...
ReplyDeleteI live in Fairborn/Beavercreek area. Many of the channel signals were weak. I got a pre-amplifier and the signals are all good now. I bought a RCA preamp from Lowes for $32.
ReplyDeleteGood choice since it's suppose to compare favorably to the much more expensive original Channel Master 7777. If I ever need a new preamp the RCA is what I'll get.
DeleteHas anyone heard when 22 and 45 are going to fix their power issues? I still can’t get them in and I live in Miamisburg.
ReplyDeleteI lost 22 as well. Not amused,if Not or HULU I would be missing my favorite shows.
ReplyDeleteI have now lost channel 7 as well as 22. What is going on?
ReplyDeleteI am now able to pick up channel 19 on one TV. Channel 7's technical difficulties still ongoing, 11/6.
ReplyDeleteI have lost all of the channel 7 stations- 7.1, 7.2 and 7.3. I understand that these are over the air and free, but this is getting ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteI can't get chennels 2, 2.1, 2.2, 7.1, 7.2, 7.3, 22 & 26 - This is more than an annoyance. Every time they do something to force a new way, bad things happen. the one good thing - no TV means more work being done. I just turn the TV OFF,
ReplyDeleteNow we won't know if BAD WEATHER is coming
ReplyDeleteNow we will never know if bad weather is coming
ReplyDeleteThe biggest aggravation to me is that those channels except 7 are just ignoring those of us being affected. No updates, timetable for how long to expect them to be in accessible or acknowledgement of issue at all. Just an unsaid screw you
ReplyDeleteIt would be nice to have updates. This is getting old.
ReplyDeleteWHIO thought they might be back on the air last Friday but that didn't happen. WKEF 22 & WRGT 45 said they'll be back at full power in the "coming weeks." SMH!

Before the recent frequency changes I received 51 channels OTA. Now all of a sudden after I rescan I now only get 27 channels, and some of them are weaker than normal. Cant get 19 at all anymore, channel 7 still gone, what the heck is going on around dayton? Maybe the cable companies are doing sabotage? If you have any answers out there, please let me know!
ReplyDeleteBefore these channels changed frequencies I received channel 7(WHIO)and 22; but especially channel 7 I never had any problems with it, now I cannot pick up channel 7 to save my life even though I auto rescanned my tv several times and I live in the Kettering area. Any body knows what in the world is happening to them?
DeleteIf you haven't yet tried, delete the old channel 7 and rescan. I had to do that when channel 2 changed frequencies recently.
DeleteChannel 7.1 came back on sometime today but it is viewed on channel 16.2! How does that happen?
ReplyDeleteIt's a temporary arrangement approved by the FCC.
Deleteits time to get the government involved the law says they must broadcast over the air not just a mile away this is a big joke every thing east of the Mississippi is becoming a third world country
ReplyDeleteStill no signal, missing the OSU game. Way to go Fox45!!!!
ReplyDeleteStill no Fox 45 in New Carlisle , WTF
ReplyDeleteGreat planning Fox 45 , repack during football season . Missing OSU games
ReplyDeleteStill no signal!!!!! When will this be fixed????
ReplyDeleteStill no Dayton Channels 22 or 45, live within sight of their tower, probably 3-4 miles direct line, both were on one day last week, must have been the atmospheric conditions, Channel 45 in and out at times but Channel 22 not at all. This is ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteI live 7 miles north of Celina and lost ch 45 , 7 and 16 w/the rescan in October - all came in real good prior to the change - now (Jan) nothing ! It would be nice if the stations would explain what's being done - if anything !
ReplyDeleteGOOD NEWS!
ReplyDeleteI live west of Richmond, Indiana about 39 miles line of site distance from the ABC 22/Fox 45 tower and I began receiving a strong signal from both stations this morning. I called the 24/7 NOW news room and was informed that they had switched over to the new transmitters and antennas for both stations during the overnight!
Good to hear and thanks for the update.
Deletehave been without 22 & 45 way to long. need fixed NOW
ReplyDeleteSounds like they may be back at last. Try a re-scan on your TV again since they just powered things back up sometime last night.
DeleteNo 22.1-4, as in zero bars and a weak 45.1-4 5/10 bars in Laura OH still..
