Thought it would be fun to look at some screen caps of Dayton digital TV subchannels that are no longer on the air. I only recall seven subchannels that went off the air in Dayton but if I've missed any please let me know and they will be added to this post.
Here we go...
7 Weather Now
On December 1, 2014 WHIO 7.2 dropped 7 Weather Now and replaced it with MeTV
The Cool TV
WKEF 22.2 began airing The Cool TV music network on April 12, 2011 (this was the 2nd time WKEF aired a music network) but due to non payment from Cool TV, it was dropped on August 31, 2012
Trinity Broadcasting Network
WKOI 43 owned by TBN, sold ($20,000,000) their spectrum and call letters and left the airways in Dayton on 6/7/2018
Get TV
WKEF 22.2 added Get TV on June 30, 2014 and dropped it on February 15, 2016
Grit TV
WKEF originally had Grit TV on 22.3 but later moved it to 22.4. Grit was originally pulled from the station on February 28, 2017 but was reinstated less than 2 weeks later. On June 15, 2017, Grit was again removed from WKEF
Justice
January 31, 2016, WDTN adds The Justice Network to 2.3. It was removed from WDTN's lineup on February 1, 2018 to make room for the Ion Network
The Tube
WKEF's first diginet (22.2) and perhaps Dayton's first TV diginet was a music channel called The Tube. The Tube preceded WKEF's The Cool TV music network by five years and was on the air and off the air before the digital transition in 2009. The Tube lasted on WKEF until December 31, 2006
Hoping for the return of GET and GRIT.

ReplyDeleteThanks for that. I'm getting the same here but only the audio is coming through from Stadium TV.
