WKOI has ceased operations on channel 43 (real channel 39) but may return sometime today either on WDTN 2 or WBDT 26 and this is where it gets a bit confusing.
Right now channel 26.3 has the Ion network back on the air but the channel says it's WKOI, which it obviously isn't.
Screen shot of 26.3:
To add to the confusion the Zenith converter box shows 26.3 to be on real channel 50, which is WDTN's real frequency. Earlier today 2.3 still had on the Ion/Qubo networks while 26.3 was airing the same but at last check 2.3 is now a black screen, so that and the fact WKOI is showing as real channel 50 is why I think WKOI will show up real soon on WDTN.
Hopefully a sign of new channel options to come??
ReplyDeleteWe are getting ION on 43.1. The guide info for 43.1 corresponds to TBN programming but the video content is ION. Any idea what’s going on ... will TBN return?

"TBN entered into an option agreement with Ion Media Networks on November 14, 2017, which gave Ion the option to acquire the licenses of WKOI-TV and three other TBN stations that had sold their spectrum in the spectrum auction; Ion exercised the option on May 24, 2018".
It doesn't sound like TBN will be back but I'm not sure.
Sounds like they're just taking Christian television off the air one station at a time
