Wanna' know a big secret that the pay tv providers would prefer you not know?
The secret is that free over the air tv now offers more channels and better picture quality than it's ever had in it's entire history. In fact the picture quality on high def channels is better than that of the pay to view providers.
Forget the days of snowy images on over the air tv stations. The digital transition of 2009 took care of that problem as well as the double images that poor reception could also produce.
Take a look at this screen cap from WWHO 53 out of Chillicothe, Ohio.
That TV station was 54 miles away and I could pick it up with a $50.00 attic mounted antenna in Kettering, Ohio. No ghosting, no snow, just a nice clear picture that came in 24/7. I also want to add that the screen cap image isn't as sharp as the actual tv image.
